Baldacci does it again—-a new character! In Memory Man, Amos Decker is blessed and cursed. A football injury has caused him to have what is commonly called a photographic memory. This seemingly good thing is actually a double-edged sword in his case, since he can’t repress the memory of the horrible deaths his family suffered. Baldacci enjoys challenging himself with new ideas and characters, and his readers love the fact that he eschews formulaic writing.
