Jeffrey Deaver has picked up the mantle of the late Ian Fleming in a new James Bond thriller, Carte Blanche. It is amazing how he captures Fleming’s use of language, especially the British idiom that eludes American authors.
months doing meticulous research to give his writing an air of authenticity. He’s updated Bond, but in a manner true to the original character, unlike the Brosnan-Moore films. Deaver also discusses plans for his forthcoming Katherine Dance and Lincoln Rhyme novels.
